About BreezeSwept Docks

Founded in 1977, by Bob Dunn, Breezeswept constructs high quality, custom docks in the Les Cheneaux Islands. We work closely with our valued customers to ensure the highest quality and attention to detail.

Our docks are built to last in the extreme environment of Northern Lake Huron, and our team of craftsmen stands ready to take on any project, regardless of size.

Our fleet of barges and workboats allow us to efficiently service new construction repairs, boathouse restoration, island transport, and shoreline construction projects.

A Brief View of Our History

1976

Founded

1977

Purchased an old dragline crane & dumptruk. Began dredging our harbor, installed piling and created main pier

1980

Purchased piledriver/barge “Arborvitae” During march Jason is born

1985

Workboat 25′ Seiche is christened

1986

Our seagull Larianna is born. record high water, barge sunk on december 6th, while rebuilding Janet Adams marquette island boathouse dock.

1988

Pointe Aux Outarde is purchased after many excursions to Voight Bay

1992

New three slip boathouse is created at Boot Islande

1993

Camp Fishhook is built, and powered with solar energy

1998

Rebuild several boat docks in Florida’s Lower Keys following hurricane George and Mitch

1999

Scrap barge Raber, christen new barge 50′ La Ninia along with 23′ Moonshine

2002

Two winters on green turtle cay. Rescue potcake dog Sidney

2006

Install new Musky Bay boathouse for the Braham family, Richards family boathouse dock is restored

2007

Restore lakeward side of Windswept boathouse dock complete Wayside restoration

2008

completed Horsburgh/Wagner Boot Island boathouse dock, New slip for Pendery’s at Coryell Island. New harbor at the Mcmillians on Marquette island Create a tuna tower on tugboat 25′ Arborvitate III

2009

Completed restoration of the Walker’s Coryell Island boathouse dock as well as Kausch’s Boot Island boathouse dock. Installed new boat dock for Lincoln family at Lakeside.

2010

Ensign sailboat national fleet hosted in Wilderness BAy. Les Cheneaux islands channel dredging by Malcolm Marine and expansion of Cedarville Harbor
